Care Intructions

Mipacko microfiber cloth and mop do not need to be washed after every use when used only for dusting or sweeping. Just shake out the cloth and mop pad, or rinse in hot sudsy water. When the cloths or pads get heavily soiled, wash as follows:

  • Hand or machine wash in Cold or warm water with Liquid detergent. For more heavy soiled cloth / mop, wash at a high temperature (maximum 90o) with normal agitation, spinning and rinsing. It makes the microfibers expand, opening up the pores of the fiber and releasing trapped dirt and microparticles. Powder laundry detergent very often leaves a soapy residue in fabric, and many liquid detergents contain strong perfumes and fabric softeners right inside the detergent. That is great for clothes, but bad for microfiber. Use alkaline detergent (containing surfactant / emulsifier and no content fabric softener, chlorine bleach and phosphate.) with PH level under 11 which is standard in most detergents. If needed, Separate different colored microfiber cloth or mop before their first wash. In special case, it is needed special detergent with also content chelating agent ( a substance whose molecules can form several coordinates bonds to a single metal ion ) and water softener to neutralize calcium and magnesium in hard water that cause cloth / towel to stiffen over time.

  • Air dry for best result or machine dry ( maximum 60C tumble dry and promptly remove item from machine , Note ; avoiding the use of commercial dryers means significant additional energy cost are avoided ).

  • Cloths and Mop need to be washed only with like materials. Do not wash cloths or mop pads with terry towels or other materials that "shed" a lot of lint. Wash them separately or throw them in the wash with jeans or t-shirts (articles that don't shed a lot of lint). The static nature will attract every bit of lint from other garment. Lint will cover crevices (spaces between split-fiber polyester nylon) reducing microfiber effectiveness.

  • Do not use Fabric Softener, it will have similar effect like above, microfiber may collect particles from the softener sheet, providing a layer of "softness" on the clothing which is nice for clothing that wear but it coats and clogs the microfiber strands rendering them less effective, reducing static charge power eliminating microfiber cleaning power. This effect can be reversed by re-laundering according to instructions.

  • Do not use Chlorine bleach, It will damage polyamide fiber and reduce static charge (magnetic effect) that makes microfiber effective. Using chlorine bleach will aggressively degrade any microfiber product. There is no way to reverse the effect. A better alternative is oxygen bleach which is safe for use with microfiber. Oxygen Bleach replaces other types of bleach with a safe environmental alternative to harsh chemicals.

  • Very few chemicals can harm microfiber, but it is important to stay away from acids. "Watch for warning labels. If the chemical indicates that it will harm plastics, it will most likely harm microfiber.

How to Use Microfiber Cleaning Cloth Effectively

Mipacko microfiber cloth and mop do not need to be washed after every use when used only for dusting or sweeping. Just shake out the cloth and mop pad, or rinse in hot sudsy water. When the cloths or pads get heavily soiled, wash as follows:

  • For deep dark color, Soak in hot water ( maximum 60C) before using for the first time.

  • Do not bunch to clean. Always fold cloth ( 1/2, 1/4 or 1/8 folded, depending on cloth size ) and use flat. When cloth is soiled, refold to expose a clean surface. This way will give more usable surface and efficient work.

  • Use dry for dusting and polishing, or slightly dampened with water for cleaning most any washable surface, but not wet, if too much water or chemical is used, the crevices that are designed to attract and hold dirt will fill with liquid. Basically, Microfiber need only water as a detergent to clean any type of surface, chemical is needed only for disinfectant purpose.

  • To achieve best results without streaks, simply rinse in warm water frequently during the cleaning process and wash thoroughly when task is completed.

  • Beware of residues left by previous cleaning solvents or sprays. You will have to wash off the residues up to 2 to 3 times. notice thereafter that the surfaces will stay clean much longer.

  • For hygienic and practical reasons (eliminating cross contamination), we suggest you use one cloth for one particular task or room. (i.e. 1 for your pet, 1 for your luxurious equipment, 1 for your window's home, etc).

  • Avoid any latex-base painted surfaces as the bonding agent (glue) will clog the microfibers. If it happens, wash the cloth many times (at least 15 times) in a hot water ( maximum 60C ).

  • As the microfibers pick up everything in their path, avoid caulking on windows (especially old windows) and be careful with water-based painted surfaces.

  • n case of Mop system. For heavy, liquid soils surface (floor), instead of using Flat mop it is recommended to use String Mop that mopping up big spills or other transfer of large amounts of liquid.

WARNING: Over a period of time, harsh chemicals, such as those contained in bleach and fabric softeners, will decrease the effectiveness and durability of the microfiber material. Although our products only require water to clean and even kill germs and bacteria, chemical cleansers can be used without damaging microfiber materials.
